HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

It’s now Thursday. I’ve been sick since Sunday!!!! It was probably a bad idea to go out for a car ride the other day, because I came back with chills and my fever came back. Yesterday instead of feeling a bit better I only felt worse. My nose is still running, I have massive dark […]

Hello Loveys, Thanks for all the well wishes. I’m actually vertical today so that is progress and I haven’t had 102 fever in the last couple of hours so that is also a plus. While it took a while to get going in the morning I was able to take a shower, get dressed in […]

In the neighborhood

Ah last week Jon was sick with a horrible cold/flu. It’s been almost a week and he’s still not feeling a hundred percent better. I thought I did a good job of cleaning up all his germs short of sticking him in a bubble suit. Well I woke up Sunday morning with a horrible cold […]

Oh Baby

Being at home has it pros and cons. Pro: I’m now my own boss. Sweet. Con: Hmm I don’t pay myself very much. Ok it’s zero at the moment so that’s not so great. Pro: I get to dress comfy everyday, because my commute to the office is only next door. Con: Today I actually […]

Giddy Up!

Since times are tough and lately it seems like things keep getting worse instead of better one of things that we are all trying to do is cut back. Not exactly good news for people in the design world, but I’m hopeful that things will be changing soon. Just because you don’t have a huge […]

Hob-(K)nobbing…

No one at my house because I still don’t have my dining room put together. As you all probably recall I’ve had 2 dining room sets so far and each has had it’s own set of problems. Right now I’m still waiting for Pottery Barn to pick up our latest set due to defects on […]

Guess who’s coming to dinner?

Every once in a while I venture on to HSN to see if there are any must have deals. While I didn’t find much going on in the Home Decor section I happened to stumble upon magazine subscriptions! They now have 1 year magazine subscriptions for $6.95! Elle Decor Metropolitan Home

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
