I love a charade

I live in Albany NY, and down town we have I-787, which is a crazy series of ramps and flyovers. Right now they are filming car chase scenes on 787 for the new Angelina Jolie movie “Salt,” and she was in town this past weekend filming. Also this past summer in Columbia County and Rennselaer County they did a lot of filming for the new Ang Lee movie about woodstock, but I’m not sure exactly where the location was.

  2. High-Heeled Foot in the door says:

Too funny. Angie was here filming Salt as well. I keep hearing stoppings of them all over a nearby town.

  3. LindsB says:

Wow, what a beautiful estate! Its so funny how movies work- I mean they always make you think you are somewhere but really you are not- did that make sense?

Anyways- recently Boston has been home to many movie shoots. They filmed a few scenes from The Women here, they were actually suppose to be in NY, but filmed on a street in Boston that looks like the village.

On the same street I saw these movies being filmed: Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (BTW, I cant WAIT to see this), My Best Friends Girl, and Bride Wars.

I have to say that Matthew McConaughey is even hotter in person…if that is even possible.

    Fun Post! xoxox

San Diego, Ca. Home to Kansas City BBQ, otherwise known as the bar in Top Gun!

(there’s several other famous places that were filmed here, but that’s most well known to my generations!)

  5. Carrie says:

OMG, I need to live there. Holy fantasticness.

  6. MyLittleHappyPlace says:

When I lived in Austin, it was just beginning to have that “Third Coast” status for filmmaking – before SXSW became HUGE! Anyway, one of my summers there they filmed The Newton Boys, and of course, that’s where Dazed and Confused was filmed – lots of Austin good stuff in that flick!

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
