Easy Peasy Decorating
I’m not sure why this is the first time that I found this gem of a site, but I’m sure glad that I did. When I’m working on a new project I always ask the client to give me anything they are inspired by whether it be an article of clothing, something ripped out of a magazine or a favorite picture. In seeing this I get a better idea of what their style is and what colors they lean towards.
If you are decorating your home yourself and want a little help in the direction of what color palette to go with in a certain room I think this site will make it easier.
You can download whatever image you have as inspiration and it will generate for you in a matter of a seconds a color palette to go along with it.
Here is one that I did just for fun this morning. It’s a shot of me being silly at Pebble Beach:

I could keep on doing this for hours, but I have an appointment at 10:30 that I must start getting ready for so I leave you to go off and have some fun.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Oh my – I probably shouldn’t even start this .. looks addictive.. Great find.

Oh, so so cool! I may need to start doing this with my wedding boards to pull out the dominate colors. I always try to pull them out myself but it never winds up seeming right!
