HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

We all know that in the styling of kitchens many designers go to designer glass water bottles in order to add a pop of color and give the room a lived in feel. The usual suspects are normally: Perrier, San Pellegrino and Acqua Panna There is nothing wrong with using these, but to me it’s […]

Message in a bottle

I know that all design lovers have a special place in their hearts for KWID Imperial Trellis whether it be in wallpaper, fabric or even tattoo form, but sometimes the wallet won’t allow what the heart wants so here is a stylish alternative I found while searching ebay! Below are vintage wallpaper prints from Waverly […]

It’s vintage!

Image via Coastal Living While I don’t have a farmhouse, I do have a pair of animals that I would love to leave outside as it gets […]

You can help me figure out who makes these roman shades in the images below or where I can find a pattern for them or some poor soul to help me make them. I spotted them in the latest Serena and Lily catalog and figured that they sold them, but I couldn’t find them on […]

I’ll be your best friend if…..

So normally when I’m doing these featured posts I give you all a little introduction to the featured lady and all of the reasons why I love her. Today though I’m giving you a day in the life of me! So I don’t think an introduction is necessary and I don’t want to go on […]

IN HER SHOES: High-Heeled Foot in the door

There are many designers in the Interior Design world that I admire. However, my main source of inspiration and who’s high-heels I would love to follow is none other than Kate Spade. In my eyes she can do no wrong. Her use of color and her sense of style is untouchable. I love how she […]

Kiss me Kate

I’ve never concerned myself to be someone that was lucky, but recently I’ve been winning things left and right! A couple of weeks ago I participated in my first Fab Friday and won! The lovely Seleta mailed me my little prize this week and I was happy to see the colorful package arrive. My prize […]

Luck be a lady

I’m not sure why this is the first time that I found this gem of a site, but I’m sure glad that I did. When I’m working on a new project I always ask the client to give me anything they are inspired by whether it be an article of clothing, something ripped out of […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
