She’s got curves….

  1. Fifi Flowers says:

I like the yellow bamboo pattern!!!

  2. Kristen says:

I LOVE the pink! The couch is beautiful!

  3. Della says:

Oooh, the zebra or bamboo! I love the shape of the couch, great find. 🙂

  4. Freckles Chick says:

    What a find!
I'm somewhat of a pattern-phobe when it comes to furniture, so my vote is for a timeless mushroom-colored, texture-y linen. Then bring in pattern w/ pillows.

    Good luck w/ painting!!

  5. TeachingInHeels says:

I love the yellow bamboo!! Great find!!

  6. ms. less is always more says:

I am swooning for the bamboo! love!

  7. Jeannine says:

I'd go for a simple linen and then have fun with pillows in the more funky patterns. The bamboo is awesome, but I could see that falling out of favor one day. It's hard not to love the natural color and texture of that linen.

  8. Gwen says:

I love the lines on your find too!

I always play it safe on the bigger pieces and add pops of color with pillows, so I would go for the linen.

I don't have any online sources for fabric. I have a mental block you see, I have to feel a fabric and see it in vast quantities before I buy. That makes online fabric shopping tough!

  9. Lynett says:

Great find! I love all your fabric choices but I would go with the zebra or the bamboo!

  10. Jackie says:

What another great score. Dang girl, I'm going to come visit and go thrifting with you! I am feeling the yellow bamboo, I think it would look great against the striped wall. Here is a fabric website I like with some very affordable and cute options: http://tinyurl.com/nqfet3

  11. Jackie says:

Had to come back and comment again because I just checked out your post about the Gilmore girls pool house and am in love! I never watched that show, so had never seen it before. All those stripes and fun colors! Very inspiring.

  12. fromtherightbank.com says:

Oh, I love this piece. I really, really, need to go shopping with you. You find the best stuff! All of your fabrics are so pretty it's hard to choose. But these days, anything yellow gets my vote. 🙂

  13. madamesoleil says:

That piece has such fun lines, I think you should definitely make a statement with it. What about something like this? http://www.jcarolinecreative.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=JC&Product_Code=1030-004010-003&Category_Code=1030_zzz

    It's a great price!

  14. Haven and Home says:

Ah! Is it weird that I am so excited to see the finished love seat I can hardly stand it? Especially when I will probably never see the loveseat in person? Wait, what am I talking about, I know I will see it in person one day, I just know it!

  15. My Notting Hill says:

What about a linen or cotton that is a solid that will match a color in the paisley toile fabric that you love? You could make pillows or two bolsters in the paisley.

  16. lovelyjubblylondon says:

great find! I like all the options, but hard to tell without seeing them against the wall. I probably wouldn't do stripes so the walls are, but I love all the colors!

  17. pve design says:

ditto – go for a linen and add color with pillows –
the bottom print is stunning and I would love that as a pillow. I could also see the couch being a bright fun color!

  18. Dagny @ Beautiful Living says:

Oh, I love the different fabrics you've chosen!! My top two are the zebra pattern as a clear no one, and the striped one as a number two. Any ideas for my chaise? I'm getting it reupholstered (DIY – eek!) now, and want some sort of pattern that goes with the rest of the palette and furniture in our living room / dining room…

  19. LindsB says:

omg what a great little sofa- I am in LOVE- I am so jealous of your awesome find!!

I totally know how you feel about fabric- it is a LARGE pain to find just the right one. I'll do some searching around for you and see what I can come up with.

  20. Blueprint Bliss says:

If Marianne gets to see it in person- I am coming with her! 🙂

    I love the bamboo.

They have some cute, cheap (or should I say inexpensive) fabric at Premier Prints in Mississippi.

  21. Re:Fresh Design Studio says:

I LOVE the last fabric with the black and white toile with the punches of color! My second choice would be the pink stripes. I can understand how everyone is suggesting the neutral fabric with fun throw pillows, but since the piece is so traditional I think it would be really fun and modern to put a funky fabric on it. Can't wait to see what you choose!

  22. Sweet Carolina Bride says:

    I love the bamboo!

  23. Mrs. Limestone says:

I have no suggestions for you but I just wanted to thank you for mentioning ETG. I went there this weekend. (Found a chair I love but I dont have a reupholster in my area that won't charge a fortune so Im torn about what to do. ) But still a great resource!!

  24. Miss Madras says:

I vote for a solid slip cover, and spice it up with pillows. The bamboo is fun but I am partial to the florals.

  25. Holly says:

i actually dont mind the couch how it already is, but my fav fabrics are the yellow bamboo and pink stripes!

  26. Sweet Nothings says:

OMG. im obsessed. the pink will be DIVINE! so will the bamboo!!

cant wait to see!! I need a good fabric resource as well..I need to make curtains

  27. Magchunk says:

I love the bamboo, but I already really like that single-color floral. The pink stripe says Victoria Secret to me. I'm usually a neutral background/fun pillow person, but I think you'd love the color.

And I can't believe Jackie hasn't ever seen Gilmore Girls. Need to fix that pronto.

  28. Jennifer says:

GREAT find! I'd be just as indecisive as you I'm sure, but first thought is stripes.

  29. Wanderings of a Wannabe says:

wow that is a great find…a timeless piece! i would go with the bamboo or the linen. if you went with the linen put a couple of pillows made out of the $30 floral.

  30. Blair says:

Good luck painting! I love your comment about the curves in all the right places and definitley vote for the yellow bamboo!

  31. mrosev14 says:

I love all the fabrics, my two favorites are probably the pink stripes and floral. Have fun picking one out, it looks like it is going to be quite difficult.

That couch is absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to see your office all pulled together because I LOVE LOVE LOVE Rori's pool house.

  32. Lauren says:

oh so many pretty options!!! i love the thomas paul enlarged bird print!!
    xoxo

  33. Little Dickens Designs says:

First, I love your blog! I'd go with a slightly more benign main fabric, but use that lovely expensive one for the bolster. I think we need a picture of your office!

  34. Devon says:

Fabulous piece. That would look lovely in my house…let me know when you are sick of it. 😉

I'm boring, but I vote for the linen with crazy pillows. Please let me be clear that you should not listen to me…and you should go with something crazy and fun!

  35. nkp says:

That striped wall looks uber chic! What an amazing transformation already, I just love what you've done! I was gonna say go with the linen, even thought I am totally a color and pattern girl. But now that I've looked at the space, I say the floral all the way. It would look beautiful against those stripes. Can't wait to see the final unveiling. Job well done is an understatement!

  36. Kylie says:

I would go for the bamboo. Can't wait to see the results!

And thanks for your encouragement about our big move. I'm so excited that you will be close! We MUST arrange a little get together. It will be so lovely to finally meet you.

    xxx

  37. Shannon says:

Ya know, I'm really leaning towards the zebra..and I never lean toward animal prints! Whatever you choose, can't wait to see the finished product!

  38. down and out chic says:

i love all of your choices but i really like the floral (with the birds). good luck!

  39. Julia says:

http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10154191 – One of these look vaguely (very vaguely) like the one you loved. I don't care for the zebra or bamboo, but I'm a more stripes or solids type of gal. Happy slipcovering – it's just exciting to have found such a treasure!

  40. PS~Erin says:

I'm loving the yellow bamboo fabric and the following floral/bird one. Great choices and you're piece is awesom!

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
