HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

I’ve been a bit hush hush lately on how starting my own business has been going. It’s been stressful, exhausting, mind-blowing, yet rewarding.   There has been a whole lot of second guessing. Especially with my business card. I wanted it to be a perfect representation of me and it took me quite a bit […]

Effortless Style Interiors: Card me

The latest lady to be featured in the In her shoes series really does not need an introduction. I don’t remember exactly how I found Cassandra’s amazing blog, but I’m so happy I did, because I’ve never left. She quite the source for design knowledge and information, drop dead gorgeous eye candy, and just has […]

IN HER SHOES: COCO & KELLEY

The last couple of weeks in my life have been filled with paint (not only on the walls, but in on my legs, in my hair, etc), sanding, moving furniture, installing flooring, finalizing fabric, helping my SIL move, etc. Not exactly relaxing, but it’s been great to finally almost be finished! I’m already thinking of […]

Ghost Chairs + Spa= Happiness

I found a site a couple of days ago that had me ohhing and ahhing over their wonderful selection of prints and patterns that I could choose from. They look like expensive designer wallpaper, but it’s really decorative paper. Ranging from $1-$6 for approximately 20”x40” pieces I will be buying plenty. You can simply just […]

Chic & Cheap Artwork

Snazzy title right? Did I really say Snazzy? Yes, I did. It’s late and I’m tired from running around all day. Office and Guest Room are still moving along, but there is lots left to do and the mess is driving me nutty. I did give myself a little time out today to run out […]

When Royals wore Ruffles

I loved seeing  Paula’s latest design project featured on her blog today. Her darling 4 year old got the room redo  she wanted and I’m in heaven. Ellie I’ll move into your room in a heart beat!     I was once again reminded that a child’s room does not need to look like a […]

Child’s Play

This weekend we decided to come home early from out east and get an additional project finished. Wow talk about determination. We ended up getting home around midnight on Saturday night and then Sunday morning (ok it’s was really early afternoon) we got started on putting down laminate wood flooring in the Florida room aka […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
