HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

Shop Girl: My favorite sources

I have a love/hate relationship with Craigslist. You see when your local craigslist is NYC there are many ups and downs.   First off there normally a billion things for sale at any given time. Good yes, but really annoying as you try to click through each one and open it to see the images. […]

Lookie Loo

With those beautiful spring and summer days ahead of us my mind has constantly been thinking deck, deck, deck.   We wanted to build one last year, but a crazy thing like a budget made us rethink it and we decided this would be the year.   Of course as the nice weather started approaching […]

Giveaway: 5 Gallons of Olympic Stain!

When it comes to computers one must speak to me like I am 5 years old.   As I’ve said many times before I’m a marketer’s dream client and normally when picking out my computers it’s always about what’s pretty and has the biggest monitor or coolest keyboard. Totally not proud of that, but alas […]

A couple of months ago my friend, Daniela mentioned that she had been chatting with her friend Sally and mentioned my blog. Great buy: Lattice Mirrors

I  am wiped. This weekend was full of gardening. Now while gardening sounds so relaxing and enjoyable I have to say it was neither of those things this weekend.   Remember my planting project from a couple of weeks ago?   I made flowers and Jon stuck to veggies. Jon’s veggies were growing like crazy […]

Weekend Recap: Spring has Sprung

This week I started following Mr. Jonathan Adler on twitter. I can’t believe I didn’t start this sooner, because I love his daily Adlerism.   They are definitely words to live by.   My favorite from today is: Daily Adlerism! Walking in your front door should feel like running into your ex-boyfriend and he’s fat. […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
