Then I thought if you frames it, is she doing the entire thing our a square? Good to see its possible to frame the entire scarf and have it look so amazing

I just framed three scarves using this tutorial. The frames are great in particular. But, we ended up basting the scarves onto the foamcore using transparent thread. We figured it would eliminate any sagging. Thanks so much!

    • effortless says:

Oh great idea! I’m so bad with a needle and thread that pinning it in the corners is what worked for me. Would love to see your scarves! xo, C

I came across this post while trying to figure out how to frame a scarf I just picked up while on vacation. THANK YOU for sharing this idea! I followed the directions exactly as you said and it came out beautifully! The pinning is a bit delicate and you have to be super careful not to let the scarf pop off the cut pins while you’re securing the frame. But let me tell you, I went to the frame store and they quoted me $1800!!!!!! I paid a little over $100, so it goes without saying, this is definitely the budget-friendly version. But still looks beautiful! I wish I could post a photo here for you to see.

    • effortless says:

      Yay! So happy it helped!

I am dealing with the same thing for a hermes scarf I just bought on vacation! Does the poster frame come with a hanging kit on the back? And did you give the exact dims of the scarf (even though you lost a little of the edge when pinning?) Looking forward to saving $1000 for this DIY project!

      • effortless says:

It does come with a hanging kit. I can’t remember if I gave them the exact dimensions. Sorry! I’m assuming I ordered the exact size and that the scarf just stretched a little when I was pinning it down.

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
