One of my most recent e-decorating clients had just finished upgrading her kitchen cabinets, but wasn’t sure what to do with the dining nook area that was in her kitchen. I decide to go in the direction of her new dark cabinets and add a little bit of moody color and glam with this style plan:
With a wall of existing brick already in the kitchen I used this oriental rug to pick up on the brick tones in the space.
The area where the table and chairs would be had a black wall. I wanted to more up the space with some texture, which means my favorite grasscloth wallpaper to the rescue.
A bit of glam above in my lighting pick and I’m in love with the tulip table used in black instead of white! I’ve been on a big rattan kick so these new chairs from market work right in my with plan and since I love a good stripe I would use that fabric to recover the cushions.
My favorite piece and inspiration for the entire dining nook has to be the artwork. As you know I don’t share resources on my style plans, but I recently started showcasing one piece from each plan.
The artwork is my favorite and most budget friendly find.

I love working with e-decorating clients. The only downside is that I don’t get see the project all finished in person. I think I’m going to have to start making my e-decorating clients fly out to their homes for the big reveal. 🙂 Ah a girl can dream.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

Oh, share the lighting resource! It is just so, so beautiful!
Love the light. Such a great does of quirky, vintage (?) character. You are the best sourcer!
Love this!! That oriental rug will go perfectly with the brick wall.
What a beautiful room! Love the light, rug, and chair…oh, heck, I love it all.
Absolutely love that brass tulip light fixture!
I love the choice of lamp and the tulip table. I think it’s going to turn out very nicely.
