HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

Ah this Tuesday morning is hitting me hard today. I’m  totally in summer and vacation mode! I hope you all had a lovely Memorial Day weekend. I was lucky enough to have Jon on vacation from Thursday and while I wanted him to rest up he was in project mode so these last couple of […]

IN HER SHOES: The Stories of A to Z

I’ve been in complete envy of these walls for months now: The beautiful wallpaper is designed by artist Karla Davison and can be purchased via Black Crow Studios. I’ve never even sourced out the price, but it just seems totally out of my reach. Wallpaper is always pricey and then add to it the fact […]

{ via Style at Home} I have books stuffed in every nook of my house. You’ll find your pick of books in any room in my house and sadly I have now read through everything and have nothing new to read. I went to the library yesterday and literally walked in and out of the […]

Summer Reading…

I’ve been really busy lately working with virtual clients and helping them with Style Plans (my form of e-decorating). This latest project was a favorite of mine, because my clients inspiration piece was something I also owned! I was lucky enough to get this sweet elephant pot from Anthropologie (it’s no longer available online) as […]

Style Plans: Outdoor Living

Favorite part of this weekend was heading into the city and getting to pick up some peonies at the corner deli! Only $3 a bloom. Stay tuned for more details on my weekend. I’m having technical difficulties with Instagram and I can’t get any of the pictures I took emailed to myself. Ah!

I have loved FULL HOUSE (the blog) for quite some time now. I love how Christina’s head works. Her designs are inspiring and inventive yet attainable and most times really budget friendly. She just exudes effortless style. Not only that, but Christina is also very sweet, drop dead gorgeous and a mom to 5 kids! […]

IN HER SHOES: FULL HOUSE

I haven’t seen the sun in over a week here in NY. Day after day I keep waking up to gray skies and rain drops. Not fun. I’ve been itching for a jolt of color! I’ve already ordered a bunch of fabric samples to inject a bit more orange into my living room and now […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
