Shop Girl: Carousel Design

I love going to my seamstress and getting my fabrics turned into beautiful pillows and window treatments with the perfect color trim, size, etc. So, when I found this amazing site I was hooked right away.

On Carousel Design you can purchase ready made crib bedding along with extras like toss pillows, window panels or extra yardage of fabric. You can also get custom pieces made. They have a huge library of fun patterns that you can pick from and the cost is pretty comparable to what it would cost me at my workroom.

The best part is that you get to see your fabric choices come to life.

You start out with an image like this:

Here are some of the sets I played with:

Then I realized you could also change the crib color, wall and trim color and flooring!

After playing with the girly fabrics I also ventured into some boy patterns:

I’m not going to lie it isn’t extremely budget friendly. All of the combinations I did came in at around $425, but in checking prices for custom pieces on etsy and with my own seamstress it’s not a bad price.

Regardless if you want to lose yourself for a little bit head on over and have some fun!

  8. Love that site, it’s totally addictive but yes-not cheap. I use it mostly as a visual aid and then recreate the look for less with Spoonflower and fabric.com fabrics!

  9. I love the first boy’s option. The elephant pattern is beautiful!

I ordered colorful sheets for my baby boy’s crib not too long ago from Carousel Designs and was very happy with the quality. They have a great selection. Best of luck to you in your pregnancy. Babies are the best!
