Sweet dreams and a GREAT BUY!

A while back I was sourcing the stunning Colette bed for a client. We loved the look, color, style, but the price stopped us in our tracks. It wasn’t crazy expensive for a bed, but for $2,000 it ate up a big chunk of our budget. I was determined to find a look a like for less and thankfully after some searching I did!

My look for less option is a little more curvy on top, but for over a $1,000 less I think you can handle a bit more curves.

Finding this bed introduced me to Skyline Furniture and it’s been a love at first site relationship. I source them out all of them for clients now. They offer many different styles in all sizes (twin-california king) in a variety of colors. Most times you can find them with free shipping and I’ve never seen a bed for more than $650. Most of my clients are in queens and those are normally less than $500 for a complete bed.

{ All of these beds are available at Amazon}

Now because their prices are so much less than other bed companies there are some things to take note of. The bed comes in two boxes and you need to assemble it. I’ve done it many times and it’s pretty simple. Also to save costs the bed frame is not one continuous piece and due to that there will be small seams in the corners where the head/foot and side boards meet. I’ve never had anyone complain about it, but I thought it should be noted.

Ok so I spilled on one of my designer secrets. Do you have any great sources that you are dying to share?

    That is a great source! I once attempted to make an upholstered headboard and it didn’t go so well for me. With this store I never have to worry about it again!

    This is a great source, but what if you want to have it covered in your own fabric? Their web site along with Amazon gave no info as to what kinds of fabrics they use. Did they send you swatches?

  15. That is quite a difference in price! Thanks for sharing.

  16. You probably already know about this, but speaking of fabrics, Duralee has an outlet on LI. 1775 Fifth Avenue, Brentwood, N.Y. I actually haven’t been, but a friend was just there and said it’s fantastic.
