HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

Open any monthly glossy or online magazine and design blog for that matter and you will notice that there is a huge trend with ethnic rugs. I must admit that if you asked me 10 years ago what I thought I thought about them I would have said they were for people my parent’s age, […]

Magic Carpet Ride sources

When we first moved into our house the front looked like this: Our teeny little cottage was being over taken by greenery! Then last year for my birthday I returned an ipad I was given as a gift by my family and used the funds to have the bushes removed. Now that’s dedication to design. […]

IN HER SHOES: Simply Grove

Lately I’ve been dreaming of a beach home and I decided to come up with a little plan with what I would do in one of the guest rooms in my imaginary beach home that you are all invited to visit. 🙂 1. First off nothing scream beachy to me more than grasscloth so I […]

Style Plan: In the navy…

Apparently I never forget as well, because everytime I spy this console used in a room my hearts breaks, because I don’t have one. I’ve search high and low for one of my very own, but I’ve never seen it pop up on ebay or my local craigslist or thrift store haunts. I do always […]

An elephant never forgets…

I had my blog designed by Carolynn of Two Brunettes and I truly enjoyed the experience of working with her and loved the final outcome. I get numerous emails asking me who designed my blog. I always send everyone over to Carolynn, but she is not in everyone’s budget and because she also does wedding […]

Blog Design: Deluxe Modern

I’ve been trying to enjoy the nice summer days we have been getting during the weekends and relaxing and hitting either the beach or pool. Here are some of my summer must-haves: I constantly get raccoon eyes due to leaving my sunglasses on all day in the sun so this summer I decided to rock […]

Weekend Recap: Summertime Essentials

Sadly our staycation ended today and Jon was back in the office today. We enjoyed having a couple of days off and let’s just say Jon wasn’t a happy camper this morning. I did have a little surprise to make his day a little more exciting and sent him to work in a new fun […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
