HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

I apologize for it taking so long to set up our new etsy shop. With all of the client work, blogging, family, being pregnant, etc it’s been hard to get everything set up. My biggest hang up was figuring shipping, but I think I almost have everything to launch. Working on it this weekend. Here […]

Sneak Peek: HIM & HER Abstract Art

I recently completed a living room style plan for a e-decorating client that I love. While my client originally wanted to go with a yellow and gray color scheme, but she felt it was a bit over done. She simply didn’t want to tire of it in couple of years. I decide to give her […]

Style Plan: Citron & Slate

This project has been sitting around my living room waiting to get done for the last couple of weeks. I was constantly walking past it thinking today is the day it would get done, but work always got in the way. After my shower I had a lot of extra Heat and Bond Ultra Hold […]

DIY: No Sew Fabric Applique Monogram

Last week my jaw dropped when I saw the work of Megan Young Designs featured on Daniela’s blog. I loved how the space had neutral wall paint, rug and furniture picks yet it was full of color in the accessories. I space I would totally love to call my own. So I decided to recreate […]

Weekend Recap: 27 weeks and counting

I absolutely adore everything in Jonathan Adler’s shop. What I don’t love is the sometimes high price tag. Every now and then it’s fun to splurge on a dream item or two, but for those of us that don’t want to sacrifice style for budget I love to share my look for less finds. Jonathan […]

Look for Less: JA Havenhurst Lamp

Hi Loves, Forgot to mention that I was asked to guest post on Cristin’s What would you do series? For this round up we were asked to design a room around this inlay table: Head on over and check out what I did with it. P.S. Having massive technical issues with wordpress since yesterday. For […]

Guest Posting at Simplified Bee

Now that our shower has come and gone I’m starting to get into full on nesting mode. For the last couple of weeks a design plan has started to come together, but I have yet to pull the trigger on anything and I’m starting to freak out that we only have a little over 90 […]

Baby Talk: The Inspiration

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
