As you all know Friday was Jon’s birthday and we went out east to celebrate him turning the big 30!
The weekend started out with a stay at a cottage on the beach.
Check out the view from our backyard:
We headed out super early on Saturday morning to get on a 7 am charter fishing boat from Montauk. We literally woke up in the dark to get ready and make the drive further out on the island. Luckily Jon enjoyed the trip and caught some fish!
{ One fish…}
{ 2 fish….}
He also caught an additional fish, but it wasn’t large enough to keep so back to the water it went.
While he fished. I enjoyed the view and stay warmed with multiple cups of hot chocolate.
We continued the day out east having lunch in East Hampton and checking out some new boats at marina’s along our drive back to the beach cottage.
We finished off the evening with a sunset sky dive:
{Waiting to take off.}
{Making the descent down.}
{Save and sound back on the ground.}
By Sunday this preggo was exhausted so while I carried the camera with me all day I never actually took it out of my purse. Whoops. Our families joined us at the beach house and we enjoyed the beach and headed out to a yummy lunch by the water.
All in all it was a lovely weekend. What were you up to this weekend? I know a lot of my designer friends have been off at High Point market.

While reading your post and seeing the 1 Fish, 2 Fish part; I couldn’t help but thing of the line from Dr. Suess “One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish”…..you’re well on your way to Dr. Suess brain rot…..maybe I’m the only one who thought that while reading….you’ll have to add that book to your reading list to your little peanut. Glad you had a great weekend! I enjoyed the self induced trip down Dr. Suess memory lane.
Looks like a fabulous weekend! : )
Happy Birthday Jon!
And please tell me you didn’t skydive @ 7 months! *weak knees*
No sky diving for me. I don’t think they would even allow it at the place. It’s Jon’s hobby not mine. I wait on the ground.
When I went to the Miracle Homes Tour in southeastern wisconsin (and Milwaukee, my city), we saw a ton of skydivers in all colorful parachutes. Though I was a little concerned at them falling very near the hwy, it looked like so much fun and def on my bucket list. I’ll never bungee jump, but I would totally sky dive.
