Weekend Recap: Taking it Easy

This weekend being 34 (almost 35) weeks pregnant totally hit me. Every angle is now uncomfortable and the lack of sleep is now a regular occurrence. It’s almost the home stretch so I’m trying not to complain, but it’s been hard when I all I want to do is wrap things up around the house and my body is just too tired to do it.

Over the weekend I was lucky enough to have a bunch of little helpers over to help me check things off of my check list. So while all of my helpers were cleaning my house from top to bottom, helping with laundry, making me yummy meals and tackling more of the paint job in the nursery I was lucky enough to be in bed resting.

I read this:

Crocheted some scarfs with colorful yarn:

Put a dent in my left over Halloween candy:

Did some online window shopping and found this amazing trim that I then had Jon go pick up for the nursery:

Got into the holiday spirit by going through Ez’s stunning Holiday Gift Guide:

On Sunday I must admit I never even got out of my pj’s! Totally not the norm. It’s pretty hard for me to take it easy, but my body was asking for it so I did it. So happy that I did. I actually slept most of the night last night and woke up refreshed and ready to tackle the week!

A big thanks to my parents and Jon’s parents to helping out with meals, cleaning, etc and my sweet sister who came in on Friday and helped us non-stop the entire weekend!

What did you tackle this weekend?

That greek key is such a great find. Thank you so much. Please post on the finished room. Good luck with the baby. One of the best things about the baby being born is sleep on your stomach again and also tying your shoe laces.

Rest while you can, you will thank yourself once that baby comes. We put up our christmas tree, I know, we are nuts!

You deserve it! I’ll be home again in less than 2 weeks for Thanksgiving so let me know what else is on the agenda to prepare for the little peanut’s arrival! Love you!
