Weekend Recap: Etc
Hi All,
Hope you all had a great weekend. I was hoping to have a more eventful weekend aka going into labor, but apparently this little guy doesn’t want to make an early appearance. I seriously go to bed everynight thinking tonight is the night and then…NOTHING.
I’ve finally come to terms that this little guy is going to come when he wants to come so I just need to chill. Which means I’ve been doing a lot of this:
See that big bump. It’s been preventing me from doing a lot so I’ve been spending a lot of time lounging and trying to just chill.
I’ve been so swollen. I would show you guys a picture of my feet, but I don’t want to scare you all so I’ll just share what my fingers currently look like:
Yea that’s my engagement ring that now does not fit at all.
Other than complaining about how uncomfortable I’ve been feeling this weekend I did manage to have some fun.
My youngest sister is home for winter break from London! My other sister also came home this weekend after a week long business trip! Which means we got to decorate the Christmas tree at my parents house:
Jon was also able to make some progress on our changing table station:

ON THE BLOG
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Hang in there! Those last days are the longest. Take naps, watch movies, etc. Do all the things that you won’t be doing again for a loooong time 🙂

I was a swollen beast with my second baby – ugh! It’s the worst and so uncomfortable! You will be surprised how quickly the water weight comes off once the baby comes. I could wear my rings again right after I got home from the hospital. The gross part is I sweated a lot of it out (ewwwww!) but birth and pregnancy is no walk in the park in general… that’s not news!
Love the custom light fixture – just adorable and the perfect size for that space. Can’t wait to see pics of your little guy when he decides to show up!
The light looks so cool!! I can relate to the swelling, my baby had me so swollen with lots of water it was insane! No matter how much water I drank 🙁 the good news is its water weight and you’ll be back in your pre-prego jeans and wearing your ring in no time! 🙂
Sweetie, hang in there! I was three weeks late with my daughter. First babies are notoriously “tardy to the party “. Don’t let yourself get all tangled up inside. Breathe deeply, take some lovely baths (not to hot, of course) and enjoy the holiday spirit knowing you are going to have the best Christmas present anyone could ever have! Congratulations and Happy Holidays!
Seems like yesterday you go the big news, can’t believe it is that tim already! (I know you can!) Emily was right, these days are the longest, but enjoy them, we await good news!

I know how you feel…I was 9 days late with my first one, and then 5 weeks early with my 4th!! Enjoy the quite, sleep filled nights while you can…AND that light is PHENOMENAL!!

Seriously, if I could somehow post a picture with my comment, I would show you my feet after my c-section with my twins. Hilarious! We took a ton of pictures of them and even still when I look at them, I laugh!
