I was recently at a client’s home for a consult where her husband had his album collection framed and gracing the wall by their staircase.
She didn’t love the look of it and to be honest neither did I. When we got to work on a concept for the space those albums got the big heave-ho. Don’t worry her hubby still has the albums safe and sound.
I so wish I had seen this image before hand, because I’m now in love with the idea of making a gallery wall full of album covers:

I love the bold use of color on the wall, the uniform white classic frames for the albums, the grid layout and those amazing pieces of trim that break up the frames. So simple yet so chic!
This would be such an easy and inexpensive project. Plus it’s a new take on the gallery wall which is always refreshing!

I am loving the background color of that wall! It looks great with the white framed records!

This post is excellent. I’m a bit of a stickler for symmetry so this style of decoration really appeals to me.
Mmm this wall makes me happy!
