Sneak Peek: Sitting Pretty

A while back I found this lovely sofa at a thrift store:

I picked it up for a song, but had no room for it in my own home. It stayed stuffed in my office for a long time.

It recently got a new home and became the inspiration for a new look for my parents master bedroom. Last week I was there and was able to snap a picture of it in it’s new home:

Traditionally I don’t like to match pillows with window treatments, but when you are working with such a busy pattern like the floral sofa keeping the pillow and window panel fabric the same really worked.

Love.

I love that sofa. It’s so bright and cheery and looks great with the matching curtains and pillow. They lend a bit of visual interest while breaking up the floral.

  7. Great find. The purple works really well with it.
