Rainbow Stripes

I constantly dream about striped floors.

I first fell in love with them during a visit to Kate Spade a while back.

Then I spotted them again in a booth Style at Home designed:

My love affair continued and most recently I saw them featured in an issue of Better Homes and Gardens:

Now to get the look you could of course paint the stripes yourself. I painted my wood floor (See details here) and it was inexpensive and doable. But the thought of having to tape up stripes does not sound appealing, which is why when I spied this rug I saw an instant fix.

Best part it’s only $369 for the largest size.

Kinda reminds me of this version by Tutti Fruitti Versa by Madeline Weinrib:

Do stripes make anyone else’s heart pitter patter?

Love seeing stripes and painted floors, one of my absolute favorites in your zebra stairwell! I adore the striped painted floor in BHG, how wonderful for the children to have “roadways” and “runways” for playing with cars, trucks, planes! Adorable.

I’ve been eyeing the rainbow striped carpet tiles by Flor but they really don’t have a place in my home. (insert sad trombone sound here)

However I do have plans to paint the floor in our master bedroom and I’m thinking black to white gradient stripes may be an interesting idea! I’ll get funky floors yet :)

  3. Love stripes!! I don’t ever get tired of them. I especially love them in rainbow / variety of colors. :)

  4. Would love to have a rug with wide blue and white stripes in our kitchen. Just worried about food stains.

  5. I have a whole board on Pinterest dedicated to stripes! I love the rug option as I’m too chicken to paint my floors.

I love the stripes! I worked at kate spade and the floors are done with colored tape but let me tell you, it is a pain to clean!! That rug is adorable and such an awesome alternative!!
