I have always wanted to attend Alt Summit. Sadly for the past 3 years I’ve had a conflict in the month of January and have never been able to attend. I was happy to see they were having a NYC event, but of course the one day I decide to step away from the laptop, desktop, iphone it’s the day that the tickets go on sale and I missed out and the event is now sold out. I’m still trying to figure out a way to get into the event. I would literally do clean up just to get a chance to attend. Come on Bing, help a girl out. 
I was able to get a little fix of Alt by taking part in one of their online classes.

I took Graphic Design for bloggers with Laurie Smithwick and I really enjoyed it.
It was a great experience. First off it was only $15 so I didn’t feel guilty signing up for it and spending a little money on myself. Secondly it was about an hour which was great for me. When you log on to the class you will see a chat section where you can chat with other people taking the class and then you can watch a live video stream of your teacher teaching the class. Laurie provided the classes with lots of slides and examples and at the end of it we got a download of the entire presentation. Win, win.
If you have yet to take a class now is the time to do so and treat yo self!

Plus for the month of July you are able to take up to 4 classes for free all thanks to Bing! All you have to do is write a blog post about Alt Summit classes and make sure to thank Bing and then email Melanie@altitudesummit.com with a link to your post and the classes you are interested in taking. So easy! This will entitle you to 2 classes. In order to get 2 more write a blog post (or facebook status, tweet) about The Bing Summer of Doing and email Melanie@altsummit.com with the link and viola 2 more free classes!

I did take one that I really enjoyed about gaining an audience for your blog. If I was in NYC I would SO want to go to this. Good luck- I’m sure they’ll let you attend somehow.
