DIY LUCITE SHADOW BOX FRAMED OUTFIT

  1. I for one love this idea. I must tell you.

  2. Marcy says:

Love this! What a great job you and your hubby did.

  3. You’re a freaking genius! I’ve been holding on to this idea for going on two years now to do in my babies’s rooms. I LOVE the idea but was never into the final look of a shadow box. Just not my thing. Enter acrylics and modern sleek look. Genius! I’m going to do this as my first project of the new years. Thanks!

  4. Exactly what I needed!! I have something from my girls that I want to frame but shadow boxes are so expensive (the ones I like anyway). I like how modern this looks and really shows off what you are framing. LOVE!!!

  5. Nat says:

Love this!! You are seriously the DIY queen- this turned out so precious

  6. Sarah M says:

I love this! I am pregnant with my second child and first little girl and I can’t wait to see her in some of the smocked dresses I wore when I was a baby. Then I want to preserve one of them with my favorite outfit from when my son was a baby. This is perfect for the more modern look of our home.

  7. Corey says:

  8. Cathy Marquis says:

    I would like to order a box for a dress. 40″ x 40″ x 3″ What would this cost? Thank you-Cathy

  9. Bec says:

A link to where to buy the acrylic box would be useful – my searches have been pretty unsuccessful so far

  10. Colleen says:

Great job! I love that beaded chandelier. Is that a DIY? Or did you purchase that?

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
