IN HER SHOES: Effortless Style

  1. OMG! I am exhausted reading about your day! But I have been there as a working mom with 2 boys, an hour commute to work morning and night…up at 5, home by 9pm and travel in between…However, I had a marvellous nanny who stayed with us for 10 years, but each free moment I wanted to spend with the boys…then came the homework!! that was a nightmare…Now my boys are grown, in college and i miss their todler days!

A very cool peek into your life! And good to know I am not the only person running from thing to thing!

I was so excited to get my issue of Southern Living last night 🙂 The cover arrangement is gorgeous!

  4. Love hearing about your day. Such a fun post!

  5. Ahh, working with a little one in toe. So fun…and productive isn’t it? 🙂 Thanks for sharing, I’ve always loved this series.

Thanks for the peak inside your life! What an exhausting, yet fulfilling (I’m sure) day. Love this series, keep them coming!

I just bought a pair of vintage pagoda mirrors just like that mirror sourced off of Craigslist for $100! I had looked at them before I bought them. The guy had no idea what he could have sold those for! I saved about $900! His grandfather was a furniture dealer in the 50s, 60s and 70s. He had a lot if unique pieces. He and his girlfriend were combining households and he needed to get rid of them.

I noticed the mirrors in your post for the client work and just had to share a mirror I saw at Target for only $30 ….. the Threshold Lattice Mirror in Ruby …. medium in size but so cute and really affordable. Here’s the link

Your day sounds exhausting! But I couldn’t help but notice your kitchen faucet. Do you mind sharing its information? It is very similar to what I am looking for. Thanks for the help!

Your bedroom is absolutely stunning from what I can see. Do you have a blog post that shows the entire space? I would love to see more!

Love the rug in your parents house. Do you know where they got it? It would be perfect for my living room.

    • effortless says:

It was a small accent rug for their bathroom. No where big enough for a living room. So sorry! It was found at Century 21.

  12. Christina says:

Wow, I JUST read this and cannot tell you how similar our days are! Even my husband agrees and says he should talk to your husband since they’re in the same boat 🙂 Gotta love them! But you are one hardworking momma because I just have the blog to run, not a whole interior design business so kudos to you! Loved this post. It’s so refreshing to read about other women who are moms and how they balance work and life.

  13. Kara says:

Love your blog! I love that painted moth wallpaper!!! Where is it from?

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
