This weekend the sun was shiny and I decide that Brooklyn was in the cards for us. I love going into Brooklyn and getting some yummy food, people watching and hitting up some shops that I don’t typically get to go into.
First on my list was Dabney Lee. Dabney Lee is a new retail shop that has been on the web for many years now. Dabney Lee was the first person I ever heard of selling those beautiful lucite trays that are gracing oh so many homes these days. I personally have a tray from Dabney Lee in Hudson’s room and I love it.
While Dabney has been designing stationary and the likes for many years on the web in 2012 she ventured into a retail location. Here is a peek into her shop…
{Beautiful orange signage and stylish awning.}
{Patterned storange boxes and fun stationary cards specific to Dumbo.}
{More stationary & beautiful New York letterpress print from Sugar Paper.}
{Cheeky cards. My favorite has to be, That’s what she said. Who else is sad that there are only 2 more episodes left of the Office?}
{Bulletin boards filled with custom invitations. So many pretty options to admire.}
{Lucite trays, lunch boxes, plates and salt and pepper shakers. Plus a pic of Dabney’s adorable triplets!}
{Amazing wrapping paper that I would probably frame instead of use to wrap an actual gift!}
{Cozy PJ’s in Dabney’s signature zebra print.}
{Work table where you can seat and design whatever your heart desires with the Dabney Lee team!}
Such a fun shop full of all of my favorite things: color, patterns, monograms, the color orange, and most importantly many options with elephants! Along with the retail shop the Dabney Lee team designs and produces all of there products in an office space behind the bulletin boards that I may or may not have caught a peek at.
{ I spy a vintage lamp with bamboo detailing in the back. Ah can’t you just see the creative juices flowing!}
If you are interested in getting some of your own Dabney Lee’s products and don’t live in the area head over to their site and click away.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
Thanks for taking me in one of my favorites stores that I don’t know if I’ll ever get to visit in person. 🙂
Love this store, I will definitely have to visit next time I am in NY!
