Get the Look: Design Darling

This week Glitter Guide featured the home of one of my long time blog friends, Mackenzie from Design Darling shop and blog.

Mackenzie has a love for all things blue and white and adores classics that will stand the test of the time, but also have a slight twist that make them modern and fun. So it was no surprise that her petite 300 square foot apt was just that. You can check out all of the pictures here.

If you are smitten with her sitting area as much as me here are pieces that will help you get the look:

While Mackenzie’s stunning mirror was a vintage find you can find something with a similar lines here.Pick up a can of white spray paint and you can get a good look alike.

A tufted neutral sofa is the perfect fixture for pretty accent pillows. This tufted studio sofa also comes in a larger standard size too. Both options are under $500!

Break up the neutral sofa with a beautiful throw that is not only decorative but functional during cold nights.

La Fiorentina by David Hicks is the perfect example of a classic pattern with a twist that is always a go-to for me. You can pick up some toss pillows here.Along with another favorite fabric (Chiang Mai Dragon) of mine for a lumbar pillow.

Mackenzie’s mirrored end stands are a vintage Brimfield find, but if you want instant gratification just pick up these babies for a similar look. Top it with beautiful lacquered and lucite boxes that can hide away your keys, baubles and pens.

Loved getting a look into Mackenzie’s space. She did a beautiful job decorating it. I would know right away that it belonged to her.

Can you repost the links for the pillows? They just link back to your blog posting.

      Hi Claire,

Not sure what is happening, but the links seem to be working. I just checked my coding and the actual site and they link to the proper etsy shops. Can you try again and let me know if you have any issues.

I think it was an issue with BlogLovin. The other links were working just fine but the pillow links wouldn’t work when using that blog reader.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!
