It’s been so nice to have an outdoor patio space this year. While it’s still a work in progress and we are waiting on a major furniture piece to arrive the dining area of the patio is quickly shaping up.
The dining table, chairs and outdoor cushions arrived a couple of weeks ago, but I still needed an outdoor rug to go under everything. Our table is on the larger size, which is amazing since we both have family that live near by and visit, but because of it’s size we needed a large outdoor rug.
In my hunt for an outdoor rug I found that a popular size was 4′ x 6′ or 5′ x 8′ and it was really hard to find something larger and budget friendly. During my search I had originally forgotten to check Overstock, but after coming up empty handed it ended up being my saving grace. They had a ton of options, a variety of sizes and I was able to keep my purchase under $130 plus free shipping.
I ended up going with a Safavieh Outdoor Courtyard rug and while I originally thought that maybe it would be too plain I actually love it.
My new outdoor cushion for the bench also arrived:
Since I was going plain jane with the color combo on the rug I went with a pattern to add interest and it works perfectly with my striped cushions.

Overall I’m super happy and can’t wait to do a full reveal on the entire outdoor space!
