I have been feeling like I live in Forks (please tell me you all got sucked into Twilight a couple of years ago. Team Edward!) these past couple of days. Not only has the weather been full of gray skies and tons of rain, but we have been hanging out mainly at home, but Hudson was under the weather.
Most of our Saturday was spent:
Getting in a little reading:
Gathering supplies for a photo shoot/piece I got hired to create. So excited about this one!!!
Did a little client work. Love figuring out fabric schemes.
We also made a crazy pillow fort and watched movies in the morning. No pictures of this, because it wasn’t the prettiest sight. Toys everywhere, blankets everywhere, pillows everywhere and even put up twinkle lights.
In the afternoon the rain spotted for a bit and everyone had cabin fever so we went to a local garden center and checked out their Fall displays.
They had copper planters everywhere! So pretty!
We feed some animals:
And we even bought a ridiculously over priced pumpkin, because we needed an activity to entertain the boys and decided to carve a pumpkin! Check out our Optimus Prime!
On Sunday the weather continue to be on our side and the rain was again gone. We drove to two separate Fall festivals and nothing! It seems like due to the bad weather many festivals had down scaled their events or rescheduled them. Such a bust! After two failed attempts we ended up at the library for a bit and then went into Hudson’s school so I could continue the install that has taken over my life. The ribbon cutting is Oct 24th and I’m counting down the days!
Here is a little peek at a bulletin board I recovered. Looks like an easy project and it totally is, but talk about time consuming. Did this and a bunch of other things and let’s just say I went into the school with the sun shinning and left in the clock of nighttime.
I would like to say that when I got home, I got into bed and watched Sunday night TV, but nope. I had more work to do. So out came the laptop and I promptly passed out around 12:30. Good times.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
Where those pots at a nationwide garden center? I love their silhouette and would go get them right now if I could!
It was a local place near me called, Hicks. I haven’t seen them in Home Depot’s garden center.
