I was prepping for a photo shoot a couple of weeks ago and I really wanted some extra large lanterns. I thought they would look perfect in my outside setting, but also work really nicely around my fireplace afterwards. After some hunting I found the perfect ones at Restoration Hardware.
For the size I wanted each one would be $125! Ouch!
I did a little more digging and went to one of my designer secret shops, Kirklands.Okay so this store really isn’t a secret, but it is a gem when it comes to finding on trend items at a fraction of the price. I always a mirror, piece of furniture or accessory that works perfectly in the rooms I’m working on and doesn’t break the bank!
Case in point my desire for lanterns. After a quick search I found the lantern I wanted in the exact same height and pretty similar design for $31.99!!!! Woo-hoo! I ordered 2! Yes, they are a different color, but I actually loved that the gray was less severe than the dark shade of the RH version. My home is very colorful and sometimes black/bronze is too dark in my space so I was happy to see this tone.
It worked perfectly in my photo shoot:
Afterwards I used them to flank my fireplace and they were right at home as well:
Kirklands also has 10 pages oflanternsto go thru so there is something for everyone!
