Another weekend that has come and gone way too quickly. I can’t believe how fast December is going! I feel like it’s going to be Christmas in time! We had lots on the agenda this weekend.
First off was trying out Soul Cycle. I have been wanting to try out Soul Cycle for years now, but I have always been super scared. My sister wanted to go so I said yes and I have mixed feelings. I felt like an old lady, but it was just so loud! I couldn’t hear a word the instructor was saying. It was crazy hard and I didn’t love that I couldn’t do everything, but I’m guessing I would get better the more I went. Towards the middle of the class though when I just decided to focus on myself and just keep pedaling I did start enjoying it and got the appeal of it. We shall see. I don’t know if I could make it a weekly thing. Especially seeing that my legs gave out on me on my way to the car and I almost hit the concrete.
We went for a mani/pedi afterwards, which is way more my speed.
Then we had to tackle our Christmas decorating. This is the first year Hudson has actually really gotten Christmas and is super excited about it. He was all about decorating the outside so off we went to Michaels. Everyone else had the same idea and we had to wait on a super long line. Asher didn’t mind. He loved reading.
I’m a classic white Christmas light sort of girl, but Hudson wanted color! We went with some retro inspired bulbs to trim the house.
Then we lined up our path extra large colored bulbs.
We finished up our night decorating the tree as well!
Sunday morning I was up bright and early to pick up Hudson’s birthday cake! Can you believe he is about to be 4! We decided to host his party a week early to separate it from Christmas a bit more. He was all about the cake so I went to Carlo’s bakeryfor an Optimus Prime cake!
Hudson had a lot of fun at his bowling bash and loved the cake! He was very eager to get home and open his gifts and wanted to try out a new skateboard right away!
The rest of the day was spent at home playing with new toys, eating left over cake, enjoying the Christmas tree with some Christmas music and a fire. I ended the day talking shop with my sister. I’m working on her new apt and we finalizing some fabric picks! Hoping to have project wrapped up in the beginning of the new year. Can’t wait to share it.
We checked out our new lights one more time and then it was time for bath and bedtime!
Hope you all had an eventful weekend! To all of my Jewish friends, Happy Hanukkah!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
