Spring time is on my brain especially while I have been designing lately. Along with working with local clients I also take on e-decorating clients and consults. For consults I’m just helping clients with a couple of questions they have about decorating. It might be finding the perfect piece of art for a space, helping them with pillow selections or giving them a jumping off point so that they can get started on a space.
I recently sent out these fabric/wallpaper selections for a consult where a client wanted a jumping off point for a dining nook in a kitchen:
Don’t you love a good green and blue combo. I loved the grassy green shades featured main fabric and wallpaper and pairing it with the sky blue really just balances it out in a happy and unexpected way. A pretty traditional fabric is bought to life with this combo.
-The main floral fabric is Lotus Garden in parchment. It has these perfect peaks of orange, cranberry and blue. It’s one of my new favorites. This is meant to be used for the window treatments in the space.
-The room needed wallpaper and the grassy green in this beautiful wallpaper was made to go with the Lotus Garden fabric. The imperial trellis pattern will never feel old to me. It’s a classic.
–Betwixt in stone/white would work perfectly for for the nook as a seat cushion. I would pipe it in some sky blue fabric. I would add some accent pillows in David Hicks La Fiorentina in the wine/magenta colorway.
-Finish it off with chairs covered in a preppy sky blue and we are on our way to a stunning room.
