Once again we had another jam packed weekend! Poor Ash was sick most of last week and since he was finally feeling better we were up bright and early on Saturday and hit the road to tackle a bunch of errands.
First up was the barber shop for these guys to get haircuts. Hudson isn’t a fan and tried convincing us that he woke up that morning and his hair was actually getting shorter not longer. Nice try, kid!
After that we continued and hit the mall because Hudson went thru a major growth spurt and all of his pants are way too short on him! I was going to go alone, but we decided since everyone was awake we could all go together and make a nice outing.
Ummm…
Yup that was how we had to shop so that they both “behaved”. At least everyone in the store was finding them charming and cute and we got loads of compliments on them.
Adorable polka dot flats at Gap Factory:
We ran a couple more errands and then went home for naps. That was my cue to sneak out for a bit. Since Ash was home sick most of the week that meant I was home with him and I needed a break. So off I went to see one of my favorite gal’s for Galentine’s day!
We got to indulge in a little girl time and talk without interruptions. Bliss.
On the way home I popped into Target to check out Oh Joy’scollection. I couldn’t find everything in stock, but was really tempted by this neon heart. It’s currently 10% off with the code HOME.
We ended our night by ordering Pizza Huts new garlic knot crust with stuffed cheese pizza. Hudson saw a commercial and thought it looked amazing! Too funny. It was good, but not amazing.
Sunday we were up even earlier! I was awoken by the sweetest cards and chocolates for Valentine’s day.
Then we had to hustle to get out the door by 9am because we had plans in the city with extended family.
We got back home in the afternoon and saw Jon’s sisters for a while. They came over and we showed them how the boys like playing Just Dance. Then they tried it out. I have video footage, but they would kill me if I posted. So funny.
Later in the day the boys got to work on Valentine’s day dinner. Let’s just say Asher enjoyed making the brownies.
Jon made an amazing dinner and we all ate by a roaring fire. So nice.
Dessert was quite the wow factor! Jon made a magic chocolate ball and it was so so so good!
Ah back on the diet today, but that dessert was so worth it last night.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
That looks like it was a great, fun weekend!
