This was one of those weekends where it really didn’t feel like one. My sister’s wedding is quickly approaching (It’s on June 3rd!) so, we had lots of wedding related errands to run. I was on the go for most of my Sunday.
Here is what we got up to on Saturday.
The boys were up by 6am so we decided to take Bear for a walk. It was interesting, because both Hudson and Asher wanted to be in charge of the leash. So, Jon decided to make it happen, by walking Bear with three leashes so, that each one of them could walk him. Cute, right?
I may have snipped these peonies from a neighbors house. Don’t worry the house is for sale and no one is currently living in it. Hudson may have also called me out on it. I couldn’t help myself.
Since we were up so early after our walk we headed out to the beach! We have a beach permit, which is the most amazing thing, because it means we can drive on and it’s super helpful when you have kids.
We walked around and found this amazing rock hill top where you could see everything.
Then we settled down for some fishing. It was the perfect day. The weather was warm, the sun was shining, we caught fish and everyone behaved. No tantrum or melt downs. It was perfection. We were there for hours in uninterrupted bliss.
By the afternoon we had to get back to reality. I had to run some wedding errands with the bride so all of the guys hung out at home.
We ended our night on a sweet note when we went to Costa Nova. Costa Nova is a Portuguese waffle shop where you can decide if you want a crispy or soft waffle and then you get to fill it with all sorts of goodies like chocolate, jams and fresh fruit.
I ordered a crispy s’mores one and it was heavenly. Yum.
Sunday was spent in Connecticut doing a final walk thru of the ceremony site, venue and checking out a sample centerpiece from the florist. It was also spent in horrible traffic! I spent 5 hours and 45 mins in the car driving!!!!
Peek of the venue:
Amazing rainbow on my drive home. Luckily I was stuck in bummer to bummer traffic so I was able to take a photo. It was massive and a full rainbow arch.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
