Since I love color and pattern a lot of the time I get to flex those design muscles much more with kids rooms. Adults take a little more convincing that beige is not the only color that exists on the color wheel. I loved working on this tween bedroom style plan, because it’s honestly something I would happily have in my own home. Not sure how Jon would feel about it. Haha.

No.1 How beautiful is this wallpaper? Swoon. I love the funky zebras sprinkled throughout the floral wildness. It was my jumping off point for the room.
No.2 I’m obsessed with this new duvet from Crane & Canopy. Isn’t that coral color amazing? It’s a perfect shade of coral. Plus the white piping is an amazing detail and it has a built in flat sheet so it’s super easy to make the bed, which is a plus for a tween.
No.3 What girl hasn’t wanted a canopy bed? I know I have. This is the perfect bed to grow up with a little lady.
No.4 I love the little zebras in the wallpaper and wanted to use a gold zebra bust centered above the bed in the canopy space. Just a little dose of quirkiness.
No.5 I can’t say no to a tassel. I don’t think I will ever be over them. Love these black out panels with tassels. They are perfect because they are mainly solid panels which work well with the patterned wallpaper. Plus the tassels work perfectly with the colors in the wallpaper.
No.6 I always like to balance pink/coral with yellow. It’s a perfect combo. These fretwork nightstands are a good scale and help me break up all of the pink.
No.7 Love that these glass lamps still allow you to see a little bit of that fabulous wallpaper. Win!
No.8 You always need a soft cozy spot for your feet to land. To finalize this design I found this amazing rug.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
