Last week I did something I have never done before. In the middle of the week I went to Life Time and dropped the boys off at Kids Academy and then instead of taking a class or working out I went to the Spa! That’s right my health club has a Spa/Salon combo and I’m in love. When I signed up there was a promotion going on and I received $150 Life Time bucks, which needed to be used by the end of January. I didn’t want to lose out so, I decided to use it at the spa. My back has been killing me and I love treating myself to massages anyway so why not treat myself to a free massage!
I must admit it was a bit strange to just pop into a spa mid week during the middle of the day. After leaving the boys I went to sign in at the spa and got to sit for a moment while I waited for my appointment to start.
It was bliss! My masseuse was so informative explaining the different muscles to me and where I was knotted up. She also showed me different exercises I could do to help relieve the aches and pains I get. I have never had a masseuse do that before, but I really appreciated it. She even told me what machines to use on the second floor. She then also told me I could just throw all of that advice out the window if I wanted and just come back to her and she would fix me up with a massage!
Since I had more Life Time bucks I was even more decadent and booked a haircut for the following day! It was nice to be a lady of leisure for a couple of hours last week!
I know I have drank the Kool Aid with my new Life Time. It’s really the first time I have taken a routine of going to the gym seriously and I’m really liking it. It’s good to take time for myself and work up a sweat and get out of my head for a bit. I reached out to Life Time because I love spreading the word on things I’m obsessed with and we are going to partner together and host a couple of events! So, if you are in the NYC/LI area then get excited! I’m going to be hosting a yoga night for ladies and a family Zumba event! Stay tuned for details!
Now get out there and treat yo self!
