This weekend we were lucky enough to have my sister and brother in law come over and help us with heavy lifting. All of Saturday was spent moving furniture out of the house and into the pod. Living room sofa? Yup, that’s gone. My vintage caned chairs with Chaing Mai Dragon? Again in the pod? My pretty and perfectly blue round pedestal table? Pod! You get the drift. I’m so thankful they came over and helped. We were even able to bring over the boys play set to my parents house. The countdown is on and while I’m excited for Hudson to start Kindergarten I’m not excited for our closing date. I still don’t want to leave! Haha, but alas a better school district was needed for Hudson and we had to do it. While I have no pretty photos of packing you are all lucky that I had a beautiful event to attend on Sunday and took pics galore!
This Sunday we headed out east to Hampton Bays to attend Jon’s cousins baby’s blessing. Jon’s sister was the godmother, so the whole Pavone gang was out there. The blessing was at Cow Fish Restaurant, which is right on the water. People can actually arrive by boat for a bite to eat.
They had the lawn set up with chairs for the ceremony. A wasn’t exactly sure what a blessing was, but it’s pretty similar to a baptism, but there is no presence from the church.
After the ceremony we moved down to the bar area where there were tables set up for the lunch.
There was assigned seating and this beautiful set up when you walked in.
Hudson and Asher made themselves right at home. At first I thought they wouldn’t behave at the kids table, but they were angels. Each kid ordered their meal, sat and ate, colored, played, laughed. It was so cute. They loved having their own set up.
All of the tables had pretty rose centerpieces sprinkled with baby photos of the guest of honor.
They also had Hampton Popcorn as party favors, which added a pretty pop of blue and stripes. Also it was super yummy.
Here is the guest of honor with her god mother aka Aunt JoJo to us.
We all had a great time and Jon and Hudson even snuck in a little fishing time out east before we headed back home!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
