First of all, the office space looks truly amazing.
I love your blog and check it pretty much every day. Even a quick snapshot of a pretty fabric or your new favorite paint color is a great blog post in my opinion. But you definitely need to go with your gut! It seems like investing time in the business is wise. But maybe you get business through the blog? Can you blog 3x/week? Such difficult decisions! I love your style and personality. Best wishes to you and I’ll be following you as long as you are able!

Thanks for all your words of support! My am is too keep both going because you are writing having the blog does help get clients. I’m just trying out if I should still focus my time on some of the lifestyle posts I did. Maybe I should just be all interior design all the time. I’m still going to be here writing away as long as people are interested. Good to know that you are open to short posts as well. Thank you for your comment! I appreciate it! I was get a smile on my face when I see your name pop up in the comments.

  2. I think the “influencer” game is not best long term. A good designer can keep working long after trends fade but an influencer can easily be replaced by the new flavor of the week. And yes, that probably means less content for the site, but the quality of content may be better.

Take all this with a giant grain of sale from a woman who hasn’t updated her site in forever. 😉

That’s Christine! I totally agree with you! Blogging will always be a part of me and I will continue to do it. I’m just not going to beat myself up if I miss a day. Since Sept of 2008 back in blogger I have been blogging consistently Mon-Fri sometimes with two daily posts. I just can’t keep it up and grow my interior design business. So, it might be more like 3 or 4 posts a week.

I love your blog and have been reading for many many years! The office space looks great! Would totally understand if you cut post down to two or three a week to focus more on design work. Love hearing your thought process as you create spaces.

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
