Pretty specific blog post title, right? I know, but when I was looking at what I put together and wrapped it up it’s the first thing that came to mind. I think it’s the color mix and it’s eclectic vibe. This isn’t for an actual client just a plan I put together because I couldn’t get that rug out of my mind. It was pretty that I knew I had to design something around it! When inspiration strikes you need to make it happen. Hopefully it will inspire someone when they are designing a room in their home.
No. 1 Stripes Removable Wallpaper: Love the mix of the marigold yellow and pink! Also the lines aren’t perfect, which I love. I think it totally works in a teens room.
No. 2 Tiered Rattan Pendant: You know I love a dose of whimsy and I think this pendant does just that. I love that it’s a different spin on classic rattan pendants. *Navy Tiered Pendant in fabric at a lower price point.
No. 3 Wren Trundle Day Bed: I will never tire of pink. I think it works perfectly in this room and I love that the spindles remind me of a Jenny Lind bed (Sidenote: Have you watched The Greatest Showman! Had no idea Jenny Lind was a singer!).
No. 4 Sweet Dreams Neon Sign: I love neon signs above a bed. I think it’s unexpected and yes it can be a bit trendy, but I’m okay with because it’s not a huge investment and it’s fun!
No. 8 Reclaimed Cherry Dresser: Love that it’s on a metal base which matches the handles. I would totally spray paint them a pop of color to make it stand out a bit more.
No. 9 Rana Hand Hooked Rug: This piece is actually what inspired the whole rug. It contains the mix of pink, yellow and navy, which I really loved together.
No. 10 Velvet Curtain Panel with Tassel Trim: The palest pink curtain panel with an orange tassels so nicely in the space. I really love that the pink doesn’t match the rest of the pinks in the room and that shade of orange isn’t anywhere else in the space. It’s a little off, but yet it still totally works.
Ok, now someone needs to take this plan and run with it because I totally need to see it in action!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
