HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

nordtrom anniversary sale

Throughout college I worked at Nordstrom. I started out in kids shoes, then moved to Gift Gallery (Home) and finally finished up at Infants and Toddlers. No matter what department I was in the most important time of the year was Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale. Loyal customers planned their vacations around the date. It was always […]

I love sourcing artwork for myself and clients. It’s always fun to get something specifically commissioned for a project or to just find a new artist that has a perfect piece that looks like it was made for the room I’m working on. Artwork can take a big chunk of a design budget and most […]

yellow and blue fabric pattern play

This pattern play wasn’t an official client project, but I was playing around with my moodboard and I fell in love with the combo and I had to share it. The fruit and floral fabric is Campagne and it was my main inspiration point. I told you I was on a fruit pattern kick and […]

My sister in law recently moved into a new apartment in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It’s smaller than her last place, but the area is amazing and it has a small outside balcony. All New Yorker’s dream of an apartment with a bit of outdoor space while it’s not a backyard the balcony provides a dose of […]

Bistro Set Round Up

If I had one word to summarize this weekend it would be hot. Actually it might be humid. The weather was intense this weekend and while it was nice to have a sunny day the heat made you want to stay locked inside all day! We managed to go outside for a little, but I […]

calla lilies bloomys box

1. This summer cold I have been fighting is still raging on! So annoying. I have gone thru 4 boxes of tissues this week! So, it was a nice surprise to receive my monthly subscription from BloomysBox this week. I had totally forgotten about it, but let me tell you it was a welcomed distraction […]

wallflora lemon wallpaper

Recently more and more clients are actually open to using wallpaper in their space. Don’t get me wrong many people love wallpaper and want the pop of pattern or perhaps the texture of grasscloth, but when it comes to pulling the trigger so many people get shy. They worry about the cost of the paper, […]

In the past couple of years Persian rugs have had a huge moment in the interior design world. I feel like everyone has at least one in their home. I have 4! Most of mine are in the red, blue, yellow, color combo, but I love when I see them in bold colors. Imagine my […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
