  1. Caitlin says:

you are such a tease. I'm dying to see what you have been up to!

  2. Allison says:

    Can't wait!

  3. Design Esquire says:

Can't wait to see the final product!

Also, when I was in Italy, I had 3 gelatos a day (right around 10 am for a mid-morning snack, then again after lunch, then again after dinner). Yum! I rationalized that I would walk everything off with all the sightseeing.

  4. Lynett says:

You're such a tease! I thought for sure today we'd get to see the after!!!

  5. Erin says:

Ha, that furniture is great!! (in a "Oh, the 80's" sort of way!)

    Yum. I love gelato.

Can't wait to see the after shots!

  6. Peck Avenue says:

I love that you're showing this! Can't wait to see the after pictures….I did the exact same thing for my little brother back in June, and posted the pictures up on my blog, too! I managed to pull it off for under $450 and the change was amazing. He loves it! Aren't we such good big sisters? 😉

  7. Shannon says:

wait, the gold trim is a no-no? ha, that furniture is classic. All she needed was a glass-top coffee table with a abstract piece of "art" as a base. ahhh, the 80's. i wanna see more!

  8. Christen says:

I can't wait to see the final product. Every time you post about it, I get more and more excited 🙂

    Happy Tuesday!

I can't wait to see the finish room. I have no doubt it will be fabulous!

  12. Laura Casey Interiors says:

Can't wait to see it. I think I gelatoed myself through Italy in college…

Oh boy, this is very exciting! Can't wait for tomorrow now.

  14. paula says:

I can't wait to see the details!

  15. Gwen says:

Yikes, that furniture is HORRIBLE! She so needed a makeover.

  16. PS~Erin says:

I can't wait to see the results!! And to hear how your sis likes it.

No one ever called you Cammie or Millie or Mila?

  17. Blair says:

Oh, can't wait to see how it turned out!!

  18. LindsB says:

Oh you TEASE! Before pics without after pics are a big FAT tease 🙂

I can NOT wait to see the after- from the looks of the before and the 80's stuff (no offense at all) the after is sure to be an improvement that she will just flip over.

What a great family she has to do this for her- and major kudos to mamma Ramirez for wanting to do this for her lovely daughter!!

  19. ms. less is always more says:

Your sister will be thrilled, no doubt!

  22. Rhoda @ Southern Hospitality says:

Oh, I'm totally jealous you went to Italy, my favorite place in the whole world. That must have been a blast with your sister.

And when I was there I ate gelato every single day, without fail. And I was there 3 mos. A wonder I wasn't fat when I returned home.

  23. fromtherightbank.com says:

You're so right – calories do not count when you're traveling. That's pretty much my motto in life. I'm dying to see how the room turns out!

  24. Lauren says:

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
