Happy Tuesday! I know most of us where lucky enough to have a 3 day weekend, but let me tell I’m still struggling this morning! So sleepy! I got hooked watchingThe Night Of on HBO and I may or may not have been up till 1:30 finishing it. So good! Highly recommend!
We didn’t have big plans for Labor Day weekend so we decided to go on a little adventure to Stormville Airport Flea Market. Jon and I love to flip flea market finds and have been itching to go to Stormville after seeing it featured on Flea Market Flip many, many times. It was an hour and 45 min drive from us, which wasn’t too bad. We did get asked a million times where we were going since we were in the car for so long, but the boys love treasure hunting so, they were excited to go.
The flea market is only opened certain weekends of the year so, it’s best to check their website before venturing out. It’s also only open from 8am-4pm, which means an early day for most.
Here is a peek into our day:
The flea market is broken up into two different sections. One side is almost like a street fair with booth after booth selling cosmetics, t-shirts, hats, puppets, etc. Basically in my opinion weird stuff that I would rather order online or go to the mall for. We did a little of this section to see if there was anything new and exciting, but really just wanted to find treasures so we quickly made our way to the antique market section. This is the area that you see on Flea Market Flip.
We saw a lot of the typical finds from Flea Market Flips. Lots of booths with old crates.
Lots of window panes and old doors:
Cool letters where sprinkled throughout this marque I was a favorite of mine.
Lots of vintage suitcases:
Hardware galore:
I loved these chairs. A perfect set of 4! I was a little too eager for them. I use to haggle like the best of them, but some reason I have gotten worse as the years go on and my poker face is totally gone.
Prices were all over the place. Some items were super expensive. Like the prices people try to resell the furniture on Flea Market Flip, but others were totally affordable. These bistro chairs were only 4 for $75 and they were in great condition.
Colorful chests were everywhere.
I loved this cute metal drawers. The painted caning detailing on the drawer faces were right up my alley, but I didn’t have room for it at home so, it got left behind.
Barn wood for sale!
Lots of vintage rugs!
Overall it was fun to go and check it out. I did wish they had more booths in the antique market section and less of the flea market section with the t-shirts, etc. Also I wish the prices could have been a little better. No one really wanted to haggle and some of the booth owners were straight out rude. One guy was so nasty with Hudson when he was trying to buy a toy from his booth.
If you are in the NY area it is a fun place to check out! I’ll be posting the one item I had to leave behind due to it’s crazy high price and what I did actually bring home via instagram today. Stay tuned!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
