Happy Halloween everyone! I totally feel like it’s a 3 day weekend around here, because Jon is going to get out of work a little early so that we can all go trick or treating together!
The Halloween fun started a bit early around this parts, because we attended a Not so scary monster bash on Saturday!!
How cute are my Optimus Primes? I can’t handle them. Originally Hudson wanted to be Iron Man and Asher wanted to be Spiderman, but when push came to shove Hudson decided on Optimus Prime and then mini me decided he wanted to be the same. I figured Hudson would get annoyed, but he actually loved it. So sweet.
Halloween party we attended complete with a monster coloring wall, DJ, photo booth and lots of spooky treats!
I wore my sequin leggings and one of Jon’s Batman’s shirts to get a little festive!
After the Halloween party I took these sparkly legs to the beach and swapped out my flats for rain boots in order to search for crabs. Guys, I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I actually love going. Basically you go to the beach during low tide and flip over rocks and search for crabs. The crabs we look for are actually an invasive species so, we are doing our part to help the environment and Jon gets bait for fishing.
Plus since we were nearby to Diane’s bakery in Roslyn I want sure to pop in for a cookie or 2! How can you say no to this bakery case?
Such a fun day! I spent the rest of the day prepping for a photo shoot and then a big chunk of Sunday was spent shooting.
In the afternoon we had some free time and ran out to pick up some pumpkins to carve.
I’m not going to lie, Jon did all of the carving and I was there for emotional support. He did an Optimus Prime for Hudson and a spooky Jack O Lantern for himself:
I got an effortless style elephant and Asher got…..an Optimus Prime!
It was a really fun activity. We turned off all of the lights in the living room and lite them and played Halloween songs while we watched them glow. The boys thought it was like going to the movies. What can I say they are a cheap date. Haha!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
Where did you get the sparkly pants? Thanks.
