This weekend was full of fun parties and then squeezing in a bit of work in between. On Saturday we got to go to a 1st birthday party that was winter wONEderland themed!
Since I know the birthday girl and her momma love a little sparkle I had to rock some gold sequin pants for the big party! I picked up these sequin pants at one of those too good to be true websites where everything comes from China and it was a disaster! It took over 6 weeks to receive the package and then they ripped from I tried pulling them up at the party. HORRIBLE! These beauties from H&M look like a much better purchase.
There was adorable snowflake decor throughout the party and a visit from Olaf! Asher was completely smitten with him and after a shy introduction he stayed by his side for most of his time at the party!
How beautiful is the birthday cake!
The best part was when the party ended it seemed like Mother Nature had gotten the memo on the birthday party and it was snowing!
Once we got home I spent the rest of the day tackling some work and reading this book:
The world of interior design has changed so much with the introduction of websites like HomePolish, Havenly, etc that I’m open to any suggestions so, hopefully I will get some new tips from it.
Also that pretty dark blue nail polish I’m wearing is Bobbing for Baubles by Essie and I fell in love with it. It’s such a pretty shade of blue and it only took 1 coat!
On Sunday I was able to tackle writing most of the thank you cards from Hudson’s birthday. Now I just need to get the little man to sign his name for me. We shall see how that goes.
I also went through the mail and found a delightful package full of fabric and trim samples from my Schumacher rep!
Went to Target for the 3rd time in the week, because I always forget something. I found this fun tassel keychain for sale and I needed to pick it up!
We also had a birthday party to attend for one of Hudson’s classmates and it was so much fun! They had it at a restaurant and bought in a clown that did magic and balloon animals and a princess that was a face painter. The boys had a blast and they had food for all of the parents so, I was able to sit down for a nice meal with babysitting! Perfection. I had so much fun I didn’t play with my phone at all hence no photos!
I should read that book, too! I love the idea of empowering my clients to move ahead when they have the time/funds to do so. But when I look at the price point for Havenly in particular, it seems very low ($199) for the work those designers are doing. Homepolish seems to have a range based on the experience/skill/etc. for the designer you hire.
I will let you know how it goes. Yes, HomePolish has different levels that people can pay for, but with Havenly it starts at $79 and that’s just nuts! I can’t compete with that.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
