I don’t know about you, but when you are a color lover the Fall season can be a little blah color wise. Don’t get me wrong I love everything about the Fall! The crisp weather, cozy sweaters, hot apple cider and all of the pumpkins. Now I don’t love eating pumpkins, but orange is one of my favorite shades so it’s nice to see it pop up everywhere in pumpkin form. Typically in fall season decor there is a lot of burnt orange, creams, tan, brown and a dark greens. Not necessarily colors that go perfectly with my home decor style! Don’t fret because there are other color combos that scream Fall, coziness and the changing season and still inject color and fun into your home!
Color Combo 1: This is one of my favorite ones. (Please note I will probably say this for every combo). Animal prints are a neutral so, you can honestly use them all year long but they look especially good in the Fall. It’s their color combos of gold, tan, cream, black or brown that make them a nod to traditional Fall colors with a little something, something. Now leopard would look nice just with other neutrals like creams/whites/black if that is what you already have going on, but if you have a colorful home like I do then I would pair it with a cobalt blue, burgundy and a hot pink. It’s such a pretty and cozy color theme for fall. Check it out in action for our Thanksgiving day table last year.
Color Combo 2: Oh this color combo is totally wear my head is this year, because I’ve been on a huge citron kick! An antelope print is perfection for fall. Another amazing neutral and it’s honey tones pair really nice with this berry/orchid purple and finish it off with a pop of citron. All of those rich hues need something to balance it and a barely there pink is perfect in this combo.
Color Combo 3: I have a hard time working a true red into my designs, but a tomato red/orange blend is something I can get behind. It pairs so nicely with a lighter blue. Typically I will pair this red/orange hue with a robins egg blue, but I like the idea of using a teal blue and spicing things up. Finally add some touches with hot pink and celery green .
Color Combo 4: I was inspired by the JCREW fall catalog for this color combo. I think it’s so fresh and a nice transition from summer to Fall. Plus if your home has a lot of neutrals already this combo would work perfectly. The French blue/Cornflower blue shade is one of my current favorite blues and it pairs so nicely with this tangerine shade of orange and blue/green with accents of matte gold or camel.
I linked pillows for all of the colors in case you wanted to pick up them up for a sofa, but I don’t mean for you to use all of the colors just as pillows. These are different color combos that you can use to inject Fall in a different way and can be done so with a pillow, throw, tray, picture frame, candles, wreath, etc.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
