Last week my friend, Monica from Monica Wants It opened up a shop called, Monica Benavidez that is filled with beautiful budget friendly Chinoiserie inspired home decor pieces. Monica adores Chinoiserie designs. We are actually both hosts of a hashtag party on instagram called #chinoiseriechicstyle. Her favorite pattern in Chinoiserie design is called tobacco leaf. You have probably seen it on vintage dishes or lamps. It’s one of my favorites as well, but I have yet to actually get my hands on any of it. Monica got to work on her own take of the tobacco leaf design along with some other beautiful patterns think greek key, foo dogs, pagodas. I got to have a little sneak peek of the shop before it went live and ordered some goodies to try out in my home. Everything has arrived and I’m in love!
I picked up two tobacco leaf hand towels on a blush argyle pattern for a little preppy dose! When I saw it I knew the perfect home for it! My parents have a bathroom in their home that is filled with yellow tiles. I knew that the little peeks of yellow on the towel would work perfectly with the tile and wall color.
Don’t they look fab?
I knew that in order to bring it all together I needed a little bit more pink! I immediately remembered my extra large floral print, which is actually a freebie on my site!
I also add a cute little accent towels in a coordinating color with tassels to finish it up!
I think it works so nicely together and gave the bathroom a much needed fresh look without changing the paint or tiles.
The pillow covers are a really nice quality and the pattern matches really nicely on the seams.
Don’t they look great in my bedroom? They are available in 18″ x 18″ and 20″ x 20″. I recommend always ordering your inserts a size up. So, you need 20″ x 20″ inserts for your 18″ x 18″ pillow cover and 22″ x 22″ inserts for the 20″ x 20″ pillow cover. I prefer for my inserts to be down alternative or down and don’t recommend poly.
Monica is currently running a promo and offering 15% off for orders over $50 with the code: WELCOMEHOME

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
