HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

At the end of February my sister closed on her first apartment! It’s a one bedroom in the same co-op as my other sister and her husband. I’m happy that they will be neighbors even though not so secretly I want them to move to Long Island and be closer to me! The apartment is […]

Gray & Glam Master Bathroom

bathroom design with silver accents

Back when I first started blogging and designing no one was talking about gold or brass accents. It was very out of style and everyone was all about silver! Now a days if you look at any recently remodeled kitchen or bathroom it’s all about the brass and gold tones. While I love that look […]

Style Plan: Powder Blue, Silver & Black Bathroom

updating a vintage pink bathroom

The other day a bunch of my friends were discussing how they all had retro aka old bathrooms in their home. While our house has a retro bathroom as well I actually enjoy it, because it’s a classic white and black situation. Very easy to work with! My friends were not so lucky! We had […]

Easy changes to update a retro bathroom without a remodel.

colorful bathroom decor

For my sister’s 30th birthday all of my gifts were something in the decor realm. Shocking, right? 🙂 We are almost done decorating her apartment, but there were a couple of areas that still hadn’t gotten any attention. Her bathroom was a space that hadn’t gotten any love. She is lucky to be in a […]

Easy ways to revamp your bathroom!

Things have been busy around these parts with more design projects! Since Asher was born I slowed down on design work and concentrated more on my consulting and writing gigs, but I’m happy to report that these past couple of months I have been back at it with my design work and I’m in heaven! […]

Style Plan: Butterfly Bathroom

*No weekend recap post this week. I was under the weather so my weekend was spent in bed catching up on Grey’s Anatomy. Not very photo worthy.* When we first moved into our house back in 2007 I decided to go bold and paint the walls in our teeny tiny full bath black. I loved […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
