HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

I love switching up the wreaths on my front door and for the most part I like to DIY them. For Easter I made the most adorable pom pom bunny wreath and it stayed on the door from late March till yesterday!!!! It was killing me to see that bunny mocking me in May! All […]

Motherhood has made me completely embrace all holidays! Sure, I always enjoyed decorating for Christmas and even Halloween, but that was really it before kids. Now with the boys they are all about holiday decor! They want to celebrate it all! We decked out the windows for St. Patricks and now since that holiday has […]

This year I really wanted to focus on getting out to meet more fellow creatives and people that love interiors and entertaining like myself! Working for yourself is great, but it can be lonely and I wanted to gain back the sense of community that blogging originally gave to me. I decided to test out […]

MINI FLORAL CENTERPIECES

Spring is in the air and this weekend we are celebrating Easter! In the past I have done many variations of a Easter tablescape like my English garden tablescape complete with easy DIY carrot napkins, which are just as cute as they sound. I have also tackled an all floral Easter tablescape complete with DIY […]

Floral & Gingham Spring Tablescape

spring floral arrangement

The first week of Spring was a doozy in NY. We got hit with a snow storm that lasted two days. The first day it seemed pretty lame and I was baffled as to why school had been canceled, but then overnight the snow kept coming and it truly was a winter wonderland in Spring! […]

It’s the first day of Spring and we are set to have another snow storm tomorrow here in NY! I don’t typically decorate for holidays with Christmas being the exception, but once you have kids […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
