Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
One of my favorite parts of the design process with a client has to be fabric selection. I love going thru my fabric library and putting together different colors and patterns from a variety of vendors. It’s always interesting to see the mix come together especially when you are representing a variety of fabric houses. […]
I know I say this about so many features on the blog, but I think coming up with Pattern Play round ups to show people a little bit of my process and how I mix and match fabrics. It’s one of the things I’m known for and something I love to do. As you know […]
One of my favorite parts of the design process is coming up with a fabric plan for a client. There are just so many beautiful fabrics to pick from and I love jumping around from showroom to showroom and putting together a plan that works perfectly together. For today’s pattern play I decide to pick […]
Whenever I work with a client my first goal is to get them on board with a fabric scheme. So, many times people come to me and want help, but they have no idea what they want to do. They don’t even really know what they like. Would they be comfortable with colors or do […]
I love working on tween aged kids room. They tend to be more adventures with color and you know I love that so it’s a win, win. Check out the this latest pattern play. My main inspiration for the space was this amazing Butterfly print by Lulu DK. It’s one of my favorite patterns. I […]
I love tackling pattern play’s for clients. Many times clients come to me with neutral spaces and ask me to help push them a more colorful direction. You know I’m always ready to do that! This client reached out with a neutral living room. You know white couches, taupe walls, sisal rug and some leather […]
I must say that working on my Pattern Play posts is one of my favorite things to do. As an interior decorator there is nothing better than starting with a blank slate and getting to pick everything from top to bottom. However these projects take lots and lots of time and I don’t see the […]
You all know that I adore color! One of the first things people say when they walk into my home is that they love how colorful it is. At first I can’t really tell if they are being polite and just think I’m daring aka nuts, because the norm with most people is that beige […]
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
