My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
i enjoy that you did not mention the person whose election would cause you to move abroad. i have my own soapbox but try not to put it outthere in blogland….however, i might consider a few other countries if i don’t get my way in this election!
my real reason for commenting is that i just read your post about the blue black and red room. that is what my living room is! i absolutely LOVE IT and highly recommend it to all. our walls are blue, black curtains and tv console/bookshelf and then the sitting furniture is white. I have ag reat little red table that i got at an antique store as a mismatched accent table and some poppy accents scattered here and there. I highly recommend this decorating scheme…it’s soothing but classy all at once!
YIPPEEEEE the day is finally here!!
Camilla, thanks for commenting on my blog. I love blogland too. I had a Shih-Tzu named Hercules and he died a little over a year ago. You can read what I wrote about him down aways on my blog. I love dogs and jewelry and politics. I’m a political junkie. I’m breaking open a great bottle of Thornton Winery champagne tonight if you know who wins!!! I’ll drink two or three if he loses. Ha.
The best, Shelly Beson
I have been anxious all day. I am so ready for this to be over.
