Until recently I had never seen, The Way we Were with Barbara Streisand and Robert Redford. T.V. shows and people made references to it constantly, but I never go it. Last summer I went to the library and rented it and I finally got it. I don’t know about you, but I totally want to be perceived as a Katie girl that is strong, willful and complex.
One of my favorite actresses falls perfectly in line with the definition of a Katie Girl and her name is actually Katie. Well it’s actually Kate, but you get the idea. Kate Winslet has always been someone that I have always enjoyed. Her work is always perfection and she actually seems like a really cool woman. Someone you would want in your corner during a fight. She is always one to try and break free of Hollywood stereotypes and tell the world that we don’t all have to look and act the same.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
I watched The Holiday on TV again this weekend and I just adore her in that movie.

Dang. She’s looks HOT. I wonder if my dad thought naming Katie would automatically make me a “Katie girl.” haha!
