HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

I recently found the work of Kim Coleman by reading the NY TIMES and no it wasn’t in the Home and Garden (even though it should have been), but in the Style section under weddings! One of my favorite things to do on Sunday is read about all the recent couples that tied the knot […]

Design Crush: Kim Coleman

I just wanted to take a moment and wish you a happy Earth day! I have been trying very hard lately to be as green as I can be. I stopped using plastic bags, no more water bottles, unplug all outlets when they are not being used, switched my light bulbs, use only green cleaning […]

holiday

Dear Mother Earth,

I woke up again this morning to a sky filled with gray dreary clouds and raindrops falling. Yesterday it rained non-stop and it looks like today will not be different. If this continues I’m going to need to stock up on some new rain apparel, because yesterday I didn’t look so cute running in and […]

Rain, rain go away …

Ok I’ll admit it anytime that Clueless is playing on TV I will most likely stop what I’m doing and sit down and watch. When I was younger I was obsessed with moving to California. A la  Brenda Walsh I wanted to move to the West Coast, have fun in the sun, shop and of […]

I finally decided to hop and the bandwagon and join Seleta in her fab friday fun! I hope she approves of my fab find that I’m about to write about. Yesterday I headed out of NY for a quick jaunt to CT. I hit a couple of antique stores, but instead of finding a fun […]

Fabulous Find: JULISKA

Ok cleaning took a bit longer than expected today which meant my Glam Cabana took longer than expected, but good things come to those that wait, because I found an amazing canopy at a crazy price! So here goes: Canopy for only $139! Cheaper than the original one I posted about, but same size (10’ […]

Outdoor Living: Glam Version

Image of Viceroy Pool Cabana designed by Kelly Wearstler from here. To most of the design obsessed the pool cabana pictured above is their ideal picture of a chic outdoor living arrangement. I do not disagree. I would love to be sitting poolside at the Viceroy in Santa Monica for my entire summer, but that’s […]

Outdoor Living that’s chic and cheap!

So assuming my business goes as planned I will hopefully have paying clients soon. Pretty please on that front. It’s always best to make a great first impression. I feel like working in the design field there is even more pressure on you to look perfect. Not only must your outfit, hair, make-up  be perfection, […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
